The Rabun County Employment Center is an adaptive re-use of the former Rabun County Memorial Hospital. The goal of the Employment Center is to help create a highly employable workforce for the 21st century by improving the skills of the area’s workers. Bringing together the employment services of the Georgia Department of Labor (GA DOL) and the workforce training offered by North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) will offer opportunities, particularly for the unemployed/underemployed, to participate in training programs designed to address the community’s workforce needs.
Resources offered by the GA DOL include computers, printers, fax and copiers. The following services are offered by appointment: job search assistance, unemployment claims, unemployment appeals and research assistance.
