Rabun County Government

Rabun County is governed by a five member Board of Commissioners and operates on an annual budget of approximately $16,875,000.

The 2013 Census estimate shows a population of 16,235.

Rabun County has a total of 377 square miles. 371 square miles of it is land and 6 square miles of it is water. Approximately 60% of the land is in the National Forests and State Parks, approximately 20% is held by Georgia Power and the rest is privately owned.
